Blue Canoe

The Brant Blue Canoe Experience Partnership with HHBRTA launched June 2019, with the objective to create new sales opportunities to local tourism businesses in the County of Brant, (particularly in Paris, but not limited to downtown Paris) and build destination awareness beyond a river destination. Two outdoor outfitter companies, Grand River Rafting and Grand Experiences Outdoor Adventure Company, acted as the key catalyst for the visitor to begin participation in the program. Visitors would book a paddle package with either outfitter, and once the paddle experience was complete, the outfitter provided the paddler with a branded “Blue Canoe” token for which to redeem in the community. 30 Paris businesses participated in the Brant Blue Canoe program and 1 business from St. George.
