Award Recognition Program

The importance of supporting the regional tourism businesses and operators is an ongoing Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association ( HHBRTA) priority and with thanks to technology we are still connecting together virtually to get through the current pandemic crisis and working to re-emerge. In these challenging times, HHBRTA recognizes the spirit and the contributions that the industry makes to the Ontario and Canadian economy. It has been a priority for HHBRTA Board of Directors to develop an industry appreciation program and is pleased to announce the launch of the Regional Tourism Awards Recognition Program that will acknowledge the dedicated efforts of business operators that excel in what they do.

This program is intended to recognize regional tourism industry partners and operators who have displayed excellence in product development, business innovation, partnerships/collaborations, sustainability, and job creation/workforce developmentThe program also recognizes partners who are working collaboratively with HHBRTA to grow regional tourism.

2021 Award Categories:

i. Innovative New Experience or Product Development Award

This Award recognizes a tourism business/organization that has demonstrated innovation in the development of a new or enhanced tourism product or visitor experience to appeal to the local tourism audience in pandemic times and contributes to the regional visitor experience brand. The new offering helps the business operator be resilient or enhance their business in pandemic times in the Hamilton Halton Brant Region.
