Experience Development

Focusing HHBRTA efforts on product/experience development and innovation is an organizational business priority. The significant natural geographical assets found in the Region provide unique outdoor tourism opportunities that can then be linked to the wealth of arts, cultural and heritage attractions; making this Region a destination worth exploring.

How are Regional Tourism Development Projects Determined?

Regional tourism projects and initiatives are qualified using the Regional Tourism Strategy as a framework to prioritize and operationalize into the yearly Business Plan that is developed by the Executive Director. The Business Plan is approved by the Board of Directors and submitted to the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Cultural Industries to confirm the funding allocation for HHBRTA to invest in regional tourism priorities working collaboratively with industry stakeholders. The provincial government outlines that the funding allocation is applied to work in the following pillars:

  • Experience (Product) Development
  • Marketing
  • Workforce Development
  • Investment Attractions

Evolve with us

Product and visitor experience development is an opportunity that is available for private and public tourism partners requiring the need for regional tourism product assistance. This pillar supports destination development, planning and marketing to grow the region's appeal in a qualifed tourist marketplace. This effort encompasses the leveraging of collaboration, partnership and financial resources in order to obtain success.

Working together, the goal is to build high quality people and experienced-based tourism products that attract more visitors, encouraging them to stay longer and experience more of the Hamilton Halton Brant region. By leveraging iconic brands of people, places and culture within the region, the tourism inudstry will build experiences that stand out and results in more tourist receipts.

The HHBRTA staff offer additional services such as Expertise Training, 1-on-1 Consultations, Experience Development, Market Development, Partnership Development and Funding Investments.
