Maria focuses on encouraging growth in tourism through the development and implementation of strategic, business, marketing and operational plans, goals and policies. She builds strategic relationships with key stakeholders to identify emerging trends in the industry and understand the changing needs and conditions of the local, regional, national and international tourism sectors. Working in partnership with our Board of Directors, Maria establishes the expectations and goals for the Association with consideration of the needs of our regional tourism industry and the Ministry of Heritage, Sports, Tourism and Culture Industries.

Bev manages HHBRTA’s business development portfolio with a focus on evolving our region’s tourism product and visitor experience to align with our HHBRTA strategic priorities, including developing new tourism product, growing our accommodation sector, managing our outdoor and nature-based product and building business opportunities with key market channels, including travel trade and tour operators.

Angelica is the head liaison for HHBRTA’s Industry Relations, overseeing all initiatives including youth, labour force and job creation. Within her portfolio she coordinates HHBRTA’s Annual Workforce Development and Training Series including the Pan Regional Industry Exchange Forums and HHBRTA’s annual Southern Ontario Tourism Conference.
Angelica actively creates and fosters strong working relationships with regional tourism industry stakeholders, affiliated organizations, and funding providers to identify and develop new opportunities for business operators and other tourism industry stakeholders to help grow their business, strengthen strategic alliances, and attract new market audiences.
Angelica also manages HHBRTA annual Partnership Funding Program. This program helps regional partners tap into marketing or experience/product development budgets that align with HHBRTA’s Strategic Priorities to extend marketing reach for an event or help fast-track the development of a new visitor experience initiative.

Aiden oversees all digital marketing initiatives and related content while facilitating an array of social media and marketing functions. As content coordinator for our leisure website, www.theheartofontario.com, he ensures all information, including listings, events, offers, and buyable experiences, is accurate and up to date. In addition, Aiden works collaboratively with industry partners to continually grow our collection of photos, videos and other collateral through platforms like CrowdRiff. Aiden is the liaison for the organization’s Marketing Agency of Record.

Maureen provides high-level administrative assistance to the Executive Director, Financial Manager and Board of Directors. She is responsible for preparing all meeting materials and the coordination of communications for all meetings related to the Board of Directors and board affiliated committees. Maureen is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office.
